Josh Groban - "So She Dances"
(I know its an fan video, he doesnt have an "official" video for this song)
I see myself in a blue dress, similar to this image, hair down and natural make up, dancing as if dreaming of an ideal partner.
This song has been worked over several times in my head to do a waltz to with my now ex boyfriend, mirroring each other in the waltz, but not really touching. In the beginning I was planning on standing in front of a faux window before starting to dance, him slowly stepping onto the stage as the song starts, watching and the both of us mirroring the other until about the middle of the song when the singer/observer "decides" to step in at "I can't keep on watching forever, i'd give up this view just to tell her...."
Meet in the middle of the stage, lights fading to a single spotlight, then as the music swells lights go up and the couple dances together finally, a more happy celebratory feel to the dance, and ending the dance with a single fading spotlight on the couple kissing.
Granted as a photography shoot that wouldn't work to the best advantage but that is the feeling I'd want to bring along in some of the photos, of an observer longing for a woman he may not be able to attain. Maybe bringing in a male model for the middle and ending of the shoot/song.
